Kiko Kostadinov FW18 Mohair Intarsia Knit Sweater
Kiko’s fifth collection, titled, “Obscured by Clouds” contained many subtle references. A West German magazine called “Teen”, Barbet Schroeder films, and Yves Klein’s “The Foundations of Judo” all served as inspiration for a season that’s goal was to escape reality, and return to having hobbies. While still staying true to Kiko’s workwear staples, this collection brought in more colors and interesting patterns, an escape from his uniform like work for Mackintosh.
One of the more notable pieces from the season. Fits slim, and has elongated sleeves. Features geometric patterns throughout, and is knit using an intarsia technique. Each color is its own unit with the strands being twisted together as the colors change to connect the pieces of the sweater into one.
