INQUIRE Mackintosh by Kiko Kostadinov dual zip shirt Medium
For Kostadinov’s second collection under Mackintosh he drew inspiration from Italian artist Mario Merz. His 1985 installation titled: “Igloo, Do We Go Around Houses, or Do Houses Go Around Us?” Which utilized slate, steel, and broken glass were the material focuses of Kiko’s Mackintosh 0002. Outside of the presentation, the materials are also evident in the color palette which consists of translucent, teals, stones, charcoals, and pebble greys.
The shirt features dual Riri zippers, twisted sleeves, and spacious slash pockets. Both the top and bottom are made from rubberized wool, a reference to the brand’s founding grace.
